Open the back door

Lift the locking lever up
and pull the back door.
The lower spool chamber should be empty
If not, take the empty spool ...
... and place it in the upper chamber.
To do so, pull out the guide knob on the left of the camera body.
Slide the right side of the new film roll in the chamber

Release the guide knob.
Make sure the spool can rotate freely.

Start threading the beginning of the backing paper through the rollers
VERY IMPORTANT!

The paper must pass UNDER the first roller. If this stage is missed, the camera will not thread the film correctly.
That is the correct position of the paper.
Push the paper leader through the long slot of the take-up spool.
Do so as far as it goes.
Tighten the paper by one or two spool turn.
At that point you may have to trigger the shutter to free up the winding crank!
Note: The frame count will not progress at this stage.
Wind up the paper until the big double arrow is visible
You may have to fire again the shutter for this operation.
IMPORTANT!
POSITION THE ARROWS AT ABOUT THE CENTER OF THE CHAMBER, AS ON THE PICTURE.
Don't worry too much if you pass this position, the camera should prevent to go further anyway. But it is good practice to do so.
Lock the camera
Start winding up ...
The frame count will start increasing from 0 ...
... until the camera detect the film .
... to 1 automatically.
